An Eco-Friendly “kopi Luwak” production and Bali Coffee Center
The village of Munduk-Northern Bali has
been known as one of a few best coffee plantation since a long time ago.
It is geographically ideal for coffee (cacao, vanilla, avocado, orange,
pine apple, Mangosteen, clove, jack fruit, durians etc) to grow well
since it has “everything” the temperature, humidity, intensity of rain,
characteristic of the soil and own springs to irrigation etc . It is
very logical why “the Munduk Coffee” was preferred most to be shipped to
the Netherland during the Dutch Colonization.
When the demand of civet coffee increase
very sharply this five last years, most people tend to catch and cage
Luwak and fed with coffee berries. Trough a scientific research it was
found out that the quality of such that kind of “kopi luwak” is much
poorer compared to those “naturally produced by the animals roaming in
their natural habitats”. Apart from poorer quality coffee, catching and
caging animals massively will lead them become extinct at the end. We do
remind people to be aware where the civet coffee in your cups comes
from.
Warung Kopi Luwak Munduk is owned and run by the local farmers and students for themselves as we are co-operative

We are the pioneer of organic farming system for years, so we
mainly supply to major hotel & restaurant in Bali, we are certified
not only by the Indonesian Institution but also under the license of
Swiss Institution.

Farmer are absolutely involved in this “ECO-CAFE”
Since we are able to facilitate the sales of their coffee, at much higher compared to the market price (that is absolutely decided by the coffee traders) they are very happy to bring the coffee to us and without being “commanded” they will keep the animals in the nature.
Active students from the economically far behind families can also “work” here for 2 hours daily, so they earn money while being part of the “alive language laboratory”
Since we are able to facilitate the sales of their coffee, at much higher compared to the market price (that is absolutely decided by the coffee traders) they are very happy to bring the coffee to us and without being “commanded” they will keep the animals in the nature.
Active students from the economically far behind families can also “work” here for 2 hours daily, so they earn money while being part of the “alive language laboratory”

When most Hotels and Restaurant in Munduk and the surrounding
areas belong to “road side-parking system” that for decades has been
making a very serious traffic problems; traffic jam and accident on the
very narrow road, WARUNG KOPI LUWAK MUNDUK tries not to contribute such
that kind of problems since we have our own parking area.
A breath-taking view of clove valley, rice field, mounts and a
thousands year-old banyan tree in distance is a perfect view to dine for
